Integrative Psychotherapy and Somatic Therapy in Belfast, Lisburn and Online

For anxiety, trauma, and feeling unsafe in your own body

What if waking up did not already feel like a battle? What if your body did not feel like something to be managed, fixed, or pushed through just to get on with the day?

Many of the people I work with are capable and high-functioning on the outside, and exhausted inside from years of holding it together. They live with anxiety, trauma responses, intrusive thoughts, or a constant sense of being on edge, often without fully understanding why.

This work helps you understand what is happening in your mind and body, and to work with the patterns underneath it, so that daily life can start to feel steadier and more manageable.

What I work with

trauma, PTSD, and complex trauma (CPTSD)

anxiety, panic, and a constant sense of being on edge

low self-worth, shame, and harsh inner criticism

obsessive or intrusive thoughts, including OCD patterns

eating disorders, body image struggles, and body dysmorphia

chronic pain, exhaustion, burnout

feeling disconnected, unsafe, or at war with their own body

Writing and talks featured in the Irish News, Psychreg, Queen's University Belfast, and the BWRT® Congress.

Services

Three ways of working, which can be combined or taken on their own.

Somatic Therapy and Psychotherapy

One-to-one work with anxiety, trauma and persistent physical symptoms, in person in Belfast and Lisburn or online. We work with what is happening in your mind and body together, rather than treating them as separate problems.

Somatic Movement Classes

Online classes drawing on yoga and QiGong. Slow, breath-linked movement that communicates safety to your nervous system, with attention on what you notice rather than on how the shape looks.

Speaking and Events

Talks and workshops on the mind-body connection, trauma, and the nervous system, grounded in research and clinical practice.

My Approach

As an integrative psychotherapist, I combine talking therapy with bodymind-based (somatic) approaches to help you move out of survival mode, process past experiences safely, and rebuild trust in yourself and your body, at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable.

My style is interactive, based on a relationship of acceptance, patience, compassion, warmth and curiosity. I provide a non-judgmental and completely confidential space for you to feel free and safe to speak your truth and or struggles.

What the work involves

  • Understanding what your nervous system is doing, and why

  • Working through past experiences without having to relive them in detail

  • Addressing physical symptoms as part of the picture rather than separately

  • Learning to recognise and name your own needs without shame

  • Building tools and practices that suit how you actually live

  • Reconnecting with your body as somewhere you can be, rather than something to manage

A free initial consultation

If you would like to ask questions, or find out whether we would work well together, you are welcome to book a free initial consultation. It is a conversation about you, with no obligation to book anything afterwards.
